Humber and Wolds Rural Community Council (HWRCC) are running a Transport Brokerage Project to share vehicle resources and to establish a coordinated pool of transport provision. They would like to ask groups and organisations to support them in this work by completing their survey and responding to them.
Go straight to the online survey here or read on for the request and details from Gill.
My name is Gill Popple – I am working with Humber and Wolds Rural Community Council (HWRCC) on behalf of the North East Lincolnshire Community Transport Partners to investigate the appetite and opportunities to share vehicle resources and establish a coordinated pool of transport provision – a brokerage system.
The aim of this Brokerage Project is to:
• maximise the use of vehicles, many of which stand idle throughout the day or evening
• provide an additional income to the vehicle owner
• ensure that existing transport resources are fully utilised
• support people to attend health and social care appointments and social activities – to remain active contributing to the reduction of isolation and loneliness.
My role is to establish the range of vehicles and resources that are currently under utilised and identify current provision duplication, service needs and gaps.
